379th Transportation Squadron Insignia

The 379th Transportation Squadron had four major branches: traffic management, vehicle operations, vehicle maintenance, and unit plans and programs

The traffic management office managed household goods shipments as well as cargo and passenger movements.

Vehicle operations provided taxi transportation, controls the "U-drive" vehicle fleet and administers the government drivers' training and licensing programs.

The vehicle maintenance branch was responsible for maintaining all government-owned motor vehicles in save, serviceable condition.

The unit plans and programs branch monitored and was responsible for the transportation portion of base mobility plans and related areas.

The transportation squadron was awarded the 40th Air Division's Outstanding Transportation Squadron Award 1982-85 and in 1987.
